About this beach club
La Canzone del Mare occupies a stretch of Marina Piccola on the southern shore of Capri, facing the Faraglioni. It was opened in the 1950s by the British singer Gracie Fields and has kept its original layout of terraces, cabins carved into the rock and pools cut from the stone. There are two outdoor saltwater pools, one shaped like the island with a shaded children's area in the early afternoon, the other with evening massage jets. The white pebble beach is kept free of sunbeds so it stays open for swimmers, and sunbathing happens on the surrounding decks. Cabanas with air conditioning and private bathrooms can be booked, and there are changing rooms, lockers and hot showers. A private jetty takes boats and a tender service runs out to yachts. The season runs from late April to early October.
