Copla Beach Bar

Copla sits on Kathisma, a white sand and pebble beach about 16 km from Lefkada town and a kilometre below the village of Agios Nikitas. The beach runs roughly 1,500 metres long and 60 metres deep and is the largest on the west coast of the island. The bar is built from driftwood collected on the shore, which is where the name comes from, and it was given an award for integration into the natural environment at the fourth Biennale of Young Architects. It rents sunbeds on the sand and runs DJ sets in summer, when Kathisma becomes one of the busier spots on the island. The cliffs behind the beach are used as a paragliding launch site, so canopies landing on the sand are a normal sight. Prices for front row sunbeds on this beach are among the highest in Lefkada.
