Faro Sea Club

Faro Sea Club is out at Via Faro, near the lighthouse at the tip of the cape rather than on San Vito lo Capo's famous town beach, and that changes what a day here looks like. There is no sand. The club is built on the rocks, with a large sun deck of loungers and umbrellas, a lounge area laid with artificial grass, and a ladder that drops you straight into deep, clear water so you can swim and climb out without ever touching sand or pebbles. The architecture is modern and low, set against the headlands that rise behind the town. The restaurant runs through lunch and dinner with fish-based Sicilian cooking, and the bar's main event is the aperitivo slot, since this side of the cape faces one of the better-known sunsets on the island. Evenings often carry music and events. Doors open at nine in the morning and the kitchen runs late, to 23:30 midweek and midnight at weekends. Spots can be reserved online in advance. Swimmers will get more out of it than sunbathers who want to walk into shallow water.
